  • You can park in the stone car park beside the Bervie and access the surf school via the blue gate. You can also park in the car park on Keel Beach and walk down to the right side of the beach to access the surf school via the sand path up to the dunes to Bervie Guesthouse.

    Parking at the Bervie Guesthouse is strictly for guests only!

  • Yes, we provide rentals of wetsuits and boards. You can find out more here.

  • No, you can ring us or show up on the day to request a lesson or a session in the sauna. We try to accommodate everyone as we know holiday plans change in Achill as quick as the weather! There is a limited 1:8 ratio for each lesson for instructors so if a lesson is full, we will fit you into our next available lesson.

  • All of our instructors are ISA qualified level 1 surf instructors. This means that our instructors have been trained to a national standard in surf instructing and can teach you the basics of surfing to get you started on your surfing journey!

  • Surf lessons: We provide all equipment for the lesson (surfboard, wetsuit & booties on request). If you have your wetsuit you are more than welcome to wear it. We advise you bring swimming togs, a changing towel and warm clothes for after the lesson!

    Sauna session: You'll need to bring swimming togs and a towel to sit on in the sauna so we can keep the sauna in tip top shape for all!

  • Due to health and safety concerns, 7 years old is the minimum age we can take for lessons. Each participant needs to have basic swim abilities, ability to carry a surfboard and be able to safely navigate the board in the water. And what is the maximum age limit? There is none!

  • Item description

  • If you have booked a surf lesson with us but there are no waves on the day, we can take you and your group out for a SUP lesson instead.

    If you decide to not SUP, we can alternatively provide you with a refund.

  • If the weather conditions are unsuitable for your lesson, the first option we will provide is rescheduling. If rescheduling doesn't suit your plans, we will provide you with a refund.
