Renting with Soundwave is simple. Pop in on the day, or call ahead to reserve your gear. We’ll help you pick the right board and wetsuit size, offer a few local tips, and get you in the water fast. Rentals are for two hours, with the option to extend if equipment is available.
Please note: rentals are recommended for those with prior surf experience. If it’s your first time, we suggest booking a beginner surf lesson instead for safety and confidence.

What deposit do I need to leave?
We require a copy of your photo ID, which we’ll hold until your equipment is returned. Once gear is safely back, your details are securely deleted.
Do I need to know my wetsuit size?
No – we’ll measure and fit you when you arrive.
I’ve never surfed before – can I still rent a board?
For safety reasons, we only rent to those with prior surf experience or who have taken a surf lesson. Beginners should start with a lesson before renting equipment.
How long is the rental period?
Standard rental is two hours. If gear is available, you may extend for an additional fee.
